Effective date: July 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Arcelia handles information connected to arcelia.space, the Arcelia Discord community, and game servers operated by Arcelia.
The short version
Arcelia is privacy focused. The website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or non-essential cookies. Our self-hosted game servers do not intentionally log player IP addresses.
Discord is a separate service. Discord may collect and process information under its own Privacy Policy, and Arcelia cannot control or change those practices.
Information connected to Arcelia services
Depending on how you use the community, Arcelia may receive or create:
- Website request information needed to deliver pages, protect the service, and diagnose technical problems.
- Discord usernames, user IDs, messages, reports, moderation actions, and other information you choose to share with the Arcelia community. This information is handled through Discord and may also be shared with Arcelia staff when needed for moderation or safety.
- Game usernames, UUIDs, gameplay information, chat, server activity, reports, bans, appeals, and other records needed to operate and moderate game servers.
- Messages and attachments that you voluntarily send to ruri@arcelia.space.
We do not ask the website for an account and the website does not provide user registration or profile features.
What we do not intentionally collect
The Arcelia website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, behavioral tracking, or non-essential cookies.
Our self-hosted game servers do not intentionally log player IP addresses. This statement applies to Arcelia's game-server configuration and practices. It does not cover connection metadata that may be visible to or retained by your ISP, Alibaba or other network and infrastructure providers, your game client, Discord, or other services involved in connecting to a server. Those parties handle information under their own policies.
We may use firewalls, anti-threat systems, anti-abuse controls, and anti-VPN or anti-proxy measures to protect services and the community. These systems may inspect connection metadata, including source IP addresses, network or provider information, VPN, proxy, or Tor indicators, and security or reputation signals. They may automatically block or challenge connections that appear abusive, fraudulent, compromised, or otherwise risky.
These protections are separate from ordinary game-server records. Arcelia does not intentionally log player IP addresses as part of its self-hosted game-server operation, but security infrastructure may need to process connection metadata to provide these protections.
Why we use information
We use information only as reasonably needed to:
- Run, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot Arcelia services.
- Provide game-server features and preserve necessary server state.
- Investigate abuse, cheating, spam, security incidents, and rule violations.
- Respond to questions, reports, appeals, and privacy requests.
- Communicate important service or safety information.
- Meet legal obligations or protect the rights and safety of the community.
Moderation and safety
Community and game-server records may be reviewed by authorized Arcelia staff for moderation, security, reports, appeals, and service administration. We may retain relevant records for as long as reasonably needed to investigate incidents, enforce bans, protect the community, or resolve disputes.
Do not send sensitive personal information to Arcelia unless it is necessary for your request.
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Information may be accessible to people who help operate Arcelia services, such as authorized staff or infrastructure administrators, only when needed for the purposes described here. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address security, fraud, abuse, or threats to people or services.
Discord, Microsoft, Mojang, game clients, DNS providers, network operators, hosting providers, and other third parties may process information independently. Their handling is governed by their own policies and agreements, not this policy.
Retention and deletion
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected or created, including operating services, handling moderation, resolving appeals, maintaining security records, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by the type of information and the circumstances.
You may ask what personal information Arcelia has about you or request correction or deletion by contacting ruri@arcelia.space. We will consider reasonable requests, but some information may need to be retained for security, moderation, legal, or operational reasons. Information stored by Discord or another third party must generally be requested from that provider.
Children
Arcelia is not directed at children. Do not use the services if you are not legally allowed to do so under the rules of the relevant service or applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Arcelia, contact us at ruri@arcelia.space.
Changes
We may update this policy when our services or practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
